Tools to Vardenis beneficiaries
In the frame of “Inflow of forcibly displaced Armenian people from Nagorno Karabakh,” WCC Armenia Round Table (ART) Programme Officer Karine Baghdasaryan visited Vardenis city in Gegharkunik province. The project aimed to give the youth and women professional knowledge and appropriate tools to start their work activities and improve their economic and social conditions. The group consisted of displaced and needy local people, which facilitated integration and understanding between the local and displaced population.
Project beneficiaries completed tailoring courses at “Lyusinka” education centre and received the necessary equipment from ART: good quality sewing and over-lock machines, processional scissors and tailor’s measuring tapes. They expressed their deepest gratitude to the donor organizations – members of ACT Alliance – stressing that they not only got new marketable skills but also new friends, and new interests.
