WCC ART Foundation Continues to Support Artsakh
WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation in the framework of ACT Alliance quick response programs in cooperation with Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and Armenian forum have carried humanitarian aid to Artsakh for the displaced population during the April war initiated by Azerbaijan against Nagorno Karabakh. The aid packages include basic necessities of food and hygiene items. The packages were provided to 722 displaced and affected residents from Stepanakert and nine villages. UMCOR and ECLOF, another members of the Forum, also joined to the Round table.
Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and NKR government provided the Armenian round table with the name lists of beneficiaries and have supported in the distribution and provision of aid. Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin`s Social Service Center headed by Father Markos Mangasaryan, was also involved in providing aid to Artsakh.

The Social Service Centre and Armenia Round Table Foundation continue distribution of humanitarian aids to people from Artsakh who were displaced to Armenia from bombed areas. “During the visit to Artsakh we did a needs assessment to find out what is exactly necessary for the displaced. And thanks to the cooperation with the Armenian dioceses we have the number of settlers in the regions. In general, both who stayed in Artsakh, and those who came to Armenia, first of all, need humanitarian aid. Many of them have left their homes and villages spontaneously, “said Father Markos.

During the first week of May, in the framework of the project, member organizations of ACT Alliance Armenian Forum of in cooperation with Social Service Centre of Mother See visited Kotayk, Armavir, and Syunik regions, where displaced people from border regions of Artsakh have mostly settled in. The charity will continue in Artsakh.
