Training course on programme work in Tsaghkadzor: a trainer  invited from ART
World Vision Armenia has organized training course devoted to diaconal work. The training was attended by the priests from different dioceses of Armenian Apostolic Church and their assistants.  The topic of the first day of the training course was diaconal programme work. Gharib Harutyunyan, ART monitoring and evaluation officer, was invited to conduct that part of the training course. The task was quite difficult: to pass maximum of information and skills on programme work to the participants in a single day. According to proposed agenda, the trainer introduced the project management life cycle and some components of its stages. Particularly, the participants got acquainted with idea development methods and tools, method of analysis of the problem and solution tree. The trainer gave a detailed presentation on the basics of logical framework approach, such  as planning, monitoring and evaluation tools. The risk assessment and management was also presented. The participants got to know the basics of participatory management, particularly the stakeholder analyses and making use of its results. All the information was bolstered with many examples from diaconal and community development project practices. The trainer used various audio-visual methods, team work, role-playing, to make the training more comprehensive and accessible for the participants.
