Testing And Practicing With ACT Development Guide
Within the framework of “Testing and Practicing with ACT Development Guide” project ART conducted a research aiming at testing the methodology and assessment tools of “ACT-D Outcome Evaluation and Impact Assessment Toolkit” through researching two projects within the framework of the ART “Integrated community development” programme. The research was a pilot one: on the one hand it assessed the impact of the projects; on the other hand it tested the effectiveness of the ACT-D Toolkit.

It was decided to carry out the evaluation of two projects both aiming at supporting at-risk segment of the population: “Social-Education Center of Gyumri” and “Community center in Metsamour”. The research was conducted by Dr. Anna Voskanyan who selected three most appropriate research tools: Poverty Impact Assessment, Do No Harm and Making a Difference Method. In total 80 people from both communities (44 and 36 from Gyumri and Metsamour respectively) participated in the evaluation of the projects through group interviews, focus groups, individual in-depth interviews and expert interviews.

Key findings of the research were represented in a publication “Testing and Practicing with ACT Development Guide” that has come out recently. Presentation of the guide at the research sites was conducted to share survey results with the project stakeholders.
