Improving Livelihoods of Syrian Refugees in Armenia
Vocational training courses of Hairdressers / Make-Up / Stylists; Cooks /Table Design, as well as Sewing and Modeling professional qualification are currently being successfully implemented for 50 Syrian refugees in Armenia in the Art House training Center in Yerevan initiated by Armenia Round Table Foundation. Professional teachers in the training center understand the importance of this workforce development initiative and are open to provide all the details and secrets of crafts in the teaching process. The center is also establishing contacts with different stakeholders and will do its best to help the beneficiaries find work.
This workforce development initiative is to contribute to the improvement of livelihoods and promote the integration of refugees in Armenia through betterment of socio-economic conditions of the refugee families providing them dignified lives.
Psycho-social support activities are continued and the meetings with beneficiaries are held in the “Aleppo” NGO facilitating the process of refugees’ psychological adaptation and smoother integration to the new community.
