First Round Table Meeting Between Computer Centers

On August 31, 2009 the first round table meeting of the holders and site staff of ART established computer centers took place. The round table was organized in the frames of the “Computer Literacy for Everyone and Sustainable Development of Computer Centers” programme funded by Diakonisches Werk der EKD, Germany. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the programme work done in the centers during the first quarter – May-July, 2009; to overview the work plans and reports prepared by the site staff; difficulties and problems if any. Having the successful experience of the latest competition among the computer centers organized by ART programme officer in collaboration with Microsoft Armenian office, the participants of the meeting discussed the opportunity of another competition and drafted the schemes and the context of the contest for further achievements. Then the programme officer mentioned the importance of exchange of experiences of the site staff as some changes have taken place since the programme launched in December, 2007. Computer center holders and site staff suggested organizing the coming round table discussions in regions with the active involvement of participants and sharing the gained knowledge and experience in the computer centers.
