Tools to beneficiaries in Martuni
The City hall of Martuni town, Gegharkunik province, Armenia, hosted beneficiaries of two projects implemented by WCC Armenia Round Table Foundation (WCC ART): “Inflow of displaced Armenian people from Nagorno Karabakh” and “Supporting forcibly displaced Armenian people from Nagorno Karabakh”.
The aim of both projects was to give the youth and women professional knowledge and necessary tools for starting work activities and improving their economic and social situation.
Project beneficiaries completed tailoring courses and received necessary equipment from WCC ART: sewing and over-lock machines, processional scissors and tailor’s measuring tapes-all very good quality. Armenia Round Table Programme Officer Karine Baghdasaryan discussed the project with the beneficiaries. They expressed their deepest gratitude to donor organizations, as well as satisfaction with the quality of the training. They stressed that they had important and marketable skills, and many of them had started to work. “My life has changed”, said a lady, she mentioned also that she was much more socialized, had made new friends, and had already started her small business.
