“Civic Education” program in Tavush region

The representatives of the WCC Armenia Round Table foundation visited Tavush region within the framework of the “Civic Education” program aimed at the development of youth initiatives and the involvement of young people in community life. Program participants of Tavush region implement the “Civic Education in the Tavush region” project consisting of two main sub-projects with an emphasis on environmental protection.

One of the sub-projects, “Re-innovation”, is aimed at combating paper waste, ensuring the involvement of young people in the process and raising their awareness through the promotion and development of paper recycling culture.

Within the framework of the latter, Sarigiugh community was included, where a series of paper recycling activities was started with the following work plan: a) 3 theoretical and practical courses on presentation of paper recycling technology, b) 2 courses of painting and sketching, after which the results will be summarized and the pictures will be presented with images of elements and phenomena of nature, which will have a pleasant aroma through the use of special pigments and essential oils.

The entire course of the visit was accompanied by the presentation of useful information about the process by the project participants and the high mood arising from their general enthusiasm.
