A new income-generating project by Armenia Round Table to start in Tavush

On September 11, 2024, WCC Armenia Round Table (ART) Programme Officer Karine Baghdasaryan paid a needs assessment visit to the villages of Gandzakar and Getahovit in Tavush marz. This was the start of an important project to help people with human and economic losses in a result of wars and displacements.  The project aimed to help traumatized people restore their psychological and financial well-being.  As Tavush region was famous for its excellent honey, beekeeping was considered by the beneficiaries as important and beneficial.

The visit was organized by a local consultant in beekeeping who is an expert in the topic, well aware of the specifics of honey production in this area.

The project is funded by Italy-based “Otto Per Mille” organization.
