Ecological networking workshop

September 11 through 14, 2013, ecological networking workshop of “East” Foundation took place in Bialystok, Poland.  The aim of the meeting was transfer of knowledge and experience of waste water cleaning system management in rural areas and design/construction of wastewater treatment filter plant-land. Participants from Poland, Belarus and Armenia visited several sites where water waste eco-cleaning systems have been established.  Monastery in Zverki utilizes this system for a number of years.  The group visited two farmers, one of which had just finished the construction of the system.  Very impressive was the waste water cleaning facility in “Silvarium” , a forest reserve for protection of wildlife.

Implementation of the project allowed on the one hand solving the problem of sewage treatment in rural areas, and on the other, on possible problems for performers of future activities.

Karine Baghdasaryan, ART PrЦ…gramme Officer visited Shostalovo village in Podlaski province, with an aim to see how honey production and sales is organized in a small farm in Poland.
