Easter Event For HIV-Affected Children

In the framework of ART “Day Center for People Living with HIV” project, implemented jointly with Araratyan Pontificial Diocese and “Real World, Real People” NGO, an Easter Party was organised for HIV affected children with participation of the Center’s beneficiaries. It was a remarkable day for the beneficiaries since their Day Center had the honor to host the Archbishop Navasard Ktchoyan, Vicar of the Araratyan Pontificial Diocese. Among other high level guests were ART Executive Director — Dr Karen Nazaryan, Deputy Minister of Health of RA – Mr. Tigran Sahakyan and Head of the National AIDS Center- Mr. Samvel Grigoryan.
The event was launched with the opening of the Praying Room in the Day Center. The ceremony was held by Fr. Grigor Grigoryan, Director of the Day Center.
After the opening ceremony, children presented a small performance with singing and dancing on the Easter and presenting the participants the notion of the Easter, about how it should be celebrated, etc.
After the performance the Archbishop welcomed the beneficiaries and highly appreciated the activities of the Day Center, as well as expressed commitment to support the Center.
