Do No Harm Follow Up Meeting

Do No Harm Follow Up Meeting

This two day workshop took place in Yerevan on September 17 and 18 with 6 participants from Georgia and Armenia, EED partner organisations.

The aim of the workshop:

  • To reflect on the DNH exposure and training trip in Nepa;
  • To access actual and potential DNH methodology application possibilities with EED partners in South Caucasu;
  • To help partners to set up a plan of action in the further exploration and testing out of DNH as a conflict sensitive planning, monitoring and evaluation tool.

Participants shared their impressions and lessons learnt form Nepal exposure and training in social analysis. Two presentations were made on the social and political situation in Armenia and Georgia. One of the main topics of the workshop was to disuses future prospects for the DNH methodology application in their work. EED is ready to support trainees to make a detailed planning for introduction and further testing of the DNH tool in respective organisations to be presented to the management.

ART representative Karine Baghdasaryan presented DNH application in training and project implementation work in ART so far. Her idea was that it would be possible to include some elements of the DNH in the project proposal document. What seems her more important was further development of the ART ethical code including into it conflict sensitive elements.
