Community Meeting And Community Development Plan For Village Gai, Armavir Region
On July 10, 2008 a community meeting in Gai village with the participation of about 40 people approved Gai community development plan for 2008-2011. The plan elaboration started with a community meeting held on June 10, 2008, when 13 community representatives were assigned by a community meeting with 40 people to a working group for plan development.
The group represented by ordinary villagers, local NGO representative, medical doctor, village elderly council, staff of mayor office, village mayor, local priest, etc., identified needs and priority issues for the village and elaborated the plan. The plan was introduced to community meeting for final approval today. Follow up of the plan will be done by the village mayor and initiative group engaged in its development.
The plan was elaborated with the assistance and consultancy by Communities Finance Officers Association and Armenia Round Table (ART). The ART cooperates with the Diocese of Armavir and supports activities of a cultural and education center run by St. Nshan Church in the village.
