Assistance to Syrian Families

Forty plastic cards of AMD 20,000 value were distributed to 40 most vulnerable and needy families from Syrian community. Syrians were assisted on the occasion of New Year and Christmas holidays in the frames of “Improving Livelihoods of Syrian refugees in Armenia” project funded by German Foundation “Kirche in Not” and implementing by Armenia Round Table Foundation. Plastic cards give free access in their choice of food products and restrict purchase of alcohol and cigarettes.

On December 25 and December 28 ART organized the distribution of plastic cards in close cooperation with Arartian Patriarchal Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and “Aleppo” NGO where Syrian refugees, particularly women attend regularly for psychosocial sessions that contribute to the recovery and resilience of those people.
