Act now for climate justice!

Armenia Round Table is a member of ACT Alliance Advisory Group on Climate Change Advocacy (AGCCA) aimed at advocating a number of key issues related to climate change.

One of the main activities of the advisory group is participation in UNFCCC COPs (Conference of Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change) which take place annually to discuss various aspects related to the climate change. COP20  took place in Lima, Peru, December 1-12, 2014 with participation of more than 15 000 people:  governmental delegations of countries, non-governmental sector and international media.  ACT Alliance was represented by its members throughout the world, including Karine Baghdasaryan from Armenia Round Table, who was also member of the Armenia official delegation.

The AGCCA actively participated in actions and meetings to influence delegations of their respective countries in issues related to climate change which is a serious challenge for the future of mankind, especially for further development of vulnerable countries.

Close work within the Armenian delegation represented by Mr. Aram Gabrielyan, UNFCCC National Focal Point and head of delegation and Mrs. Diana Harutyunyan from UNDP Climate Change Unit helped ACT Alliance to know more about the negotiations process.
Pan-Gi Moon, UN General Secretary, Prime Minister of Peru honored the meeting with their presence.
