2nd Network Meeting In Emergency Preparedness
On 27 December participants of the trainings on Emergency Preparedness and Response were gathered for a finalizing network meeting in the meeting hall of Gevorgyan Seminary of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Besides expressing their gratitude and all the advantages of the projected activities, the gained knowledge and experience the participants overviewed the outcomes of the project: a) establishment of ART network and b) building their skills and capacities for further activities in places.
Also, in future prospects the participants envisage: a) changing the mind set of native population and their approach to environmental issues; b) importance of development of volunteering movement; c) ART’s continuous mission in provision of humanitarian aid; and d) enlarge the existing network and strengthen connectivity of it.
The participatory elaboration/establishment of the network in the field of emergencies; putting CB initiative in the core of the project and further development activities are extremely important in terms of promoting grassroots participation in identification and formulation of the community needs and potential for development, as well as the follow up of the implementation of the community based development plan.
