“Social Enterprise” Training
A new impetus towards financial sustainability and work-life balance of social and development related efforts provided “Social Enterprise” training invited by Armenia Round Table through February 29-March 2, 2012 in the meeting hall of the former building of Gevorgian theological seminary in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The training was supported by Norwegian Church Aid and was carried out by Mrs. Jana Ledvinova and Mr. Jan Kroupa from Czech Fundraising Centre, Czech Republic.
The training was attended by 17 representatives of ART partner organizations – Church related social and community centers and Dioceses of the Armenian Church, local and international non-governmental organizations.
The training introduced a concept of social enterprise and communicated basic knowledge on setting up and managing a type of an enterprise, the aim of which is to fulfill social purpose of an organization and meet the employment wants of its beneficiary groups.
During the training participants developed and tested feasibility of initial ideas for social enterprise, designed financial and business plans, and received consultations on individual projects and suggestions. The ART, Czech Fundraising Centre and training participants discussed and agreed on a follow up plan.
