“Green Hospitality” Project

On October 27, 2011 ART staff was invited to participate in an event dedicated to the closing of the “Green Hospitality” project. “Cross of Armenian Unity” NGO was the ART implementing partner in this important project, which, in its turn, is a small part of a bigger programme on nature friendly pilgrimage to Etchmiadzin, a sacred place for all Armenians.
The project goal was to rehabilitate Armenian traditional and healthy cuisine and create an environmentally healthy environment for hospitality Presentation of the project was colourful and original.. Healthy “green” food standard were observed s well. The event (duration about 80 minutes) was well accepted by the guests, including the mayor of Etchmiadzin, head of police of Armavir province, local and all Armenia media.
A flag with “Green Hospitality” inscriptions in Armenian and English was erected as a symbol of nature friendly concept of food for pilgrims/tourists.
In the end guest tasted French bean tolma (recipe got from Aygut, another ART focused location), barbequed pumpkin and biscuits, all tasty.

Interesting to mention that the same idea is planned to implement in the B&B guest house in Aygut.
