Members Of Swiss Parliament Visit Armenia Round Table

Members of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation, head of the Swiss-Armenian parliamentary friendship group Mr. Ara Babloyan, representatives of Swiss Interchurch Aid HEKS-EPER Caucasus Programme and “Shen” NGO met at the Armenia Round Table in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on October 12.
The delegation was introduced into the work of HEKS-EPER in Armenia and programmes run by “Shen” and Armenia Round Table in cooperation with EPER. The first presentation was by an Armenian organic certification company “Ecoglobe” on development of organic methods of farming in Armenia and certification of ecological agricultural production. The second one was by Armenia Round Table on “Promoting Dialogue for Regional Reconciliation” programme aiming to boost a process of regional peace building and reconciliation at the public level in Armenia as well as in Azerbaijan.
The delegation thanked programme executives for presentations, opined on the issues raised on sustainable development, organic farming, peace and reconciliation as of important ones for Armenia, Caucasus and worldwide, spoke about strengthening of relations with Armenia and raising an interest towards the above mentioned initiatives in the country.
