Monitoring Of Development Interventions In Reference To European Neighborhood Policy

The purpose of the training workshop was to build capacities and skills of selected CSO representatives from Armenia, Byelorussia, Georgia and Ukraine to have them understanding the aspects of outcome and impact monitoring of ENPI and to enable them to train local NGOs to monitor the implementation of their country Action Plans. 9 representatives of civil society organisations from the above-mentioned countries attended the workshop. The course was conducted by Mr. Teun van Dijk, Senior Consultant/Trainer of MDF Netherlands and opened by Dr. Karen Nazaryan, ART Executive Director. The major recommendations of the workshop are related to having the CSOs concerned to take a decision in which way one feels responsible to monitor the implementation of ENP programmes and in which way one seeks support to do so. As EU advocates CSOs to monitor the ENP, it may be open for discussion to enable CSOs to do so as well; networking on national level to have a common approach towards EU and national government could also be of mutual advantage.
