ACT Alliance Advisory Group On Climate Change Advocacy Meeting In Geneva
Advisory Group on Climate Change Advocacy (AGCCA) of ACT Alliance convened its first face to face meeting in Geneva on April 24-25, 2012.

Other participants were Peter Rottach who is responsible for Community of Practice on DRR, Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Development, Karen Shack Andreassen from APRODEV, Dr. Guillermo Kerber who coordinates the work on climate change at the WCC.
John Nduna, ACT Alliance General Secretary, welcomed the meeting participants, stressing the importance of climate change advocacy for ACT Alliance. During this two day meeting the group discussed three strategic directions related to climate change defined by the ACT Alliance: low carbon emissions, adaptation and climate finance. Activity plans for 2012 were drafted.
Capacity building strategy for the advisory group and the Alliance was tackled, as well as budget and funding issues.
Mattias SГ¶derberg and Benson Ireri were elected as co-chairs of the AGCCA.
The second face to face meeting of the group will take place in Doha, Qatar, in the end of the year.
