Development of competitive project proposal training course
ART starts service providing

ART values the knowledge of Programme work in social and development fields. Based on this, ART initiated “Programme work skills development” study course consisting of three modules.
The first module — “Development of competitive project proposal”- was carried out through November 27-30 in the conference hall of “Devout generation” foundation.   11 representatives of ART partner and potential partner organisations participated in the training course. The trainer was ART Monitoring and evaluation officer Gharib Harutyunyan .  Skills and knowledge on the topics of development of grant project proposals, project cycle, project idea development, stakeholder analysis, needs assessment, problem tree analyses and the components of project proposals /logical framework, goals and objectives, project description, project work plan, budget, etc./ were delivered during the four-day training course. The theory was combined with practical exercises, group work, games and other training tools and methods.  The participants had an opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge on particular examples of developing project proposals.
The participants evaluated the training course content, organizational level and the trainer’s work in the end of each training day as well as the entire training course in the very end.
The participants of the training course were encouraged to develop a project proposal and present it to ART. ART will select and finance some of the proposals based upon evaluation criteria.
The ART plans to organize such series of training courses for civil society organizations and community groups on a regular base, thus becoming a service provider in the field of programme work .
