The next long-term study course for Armenian CSOs
ART initiated “Programme work skills development” study course next intern which consists three modules. The training was organized specifically for civil society organizations from ART strategic target areas: Tavush, Gegharquniq and Aragacotn regions. 15 representatives of Church Dioceses and registered NGOs participate in the study course.
The first module “Development of competitive project proposal” was organized on May 26-30 in the conference hall of ART foundation. The trainers were Gharib Harutyunyan, ART Monitoring and Evaluation officer, Tsovinar Ghazaryan, Programme Officer and Elmira Madoyan, Chief Accountant. Skills and knowledge on the topics of development of grant project proposals, project cycle, project idea development, stakeholder analysis, needs assessment, problem tree analyses and the components of project proposals /logical framework, goals and objectives, project description, project workplan, budget, etc./ were delivered during the 4 days of the training course. The theoretic part was combined with practical exercises, group work, games and other training tools and methods. The participants have an opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge on concrete examples of developing project proposals.
The participants of the training course were invited to develop a project proposal and apply for a grant from the ART. Screening committee was formed the members of which were ART board representative Gohar Grigoryan, ART staff representative Karine Kocharyan and Naira Kerobyan who was elected by participants of the study course.
The screening committee selected two project proposals based upon evaluation criteria which will be financed by the ART.
The selected projects are:
- “Emergency risk reduction in border communities of Tavush region” presented by the “Dialogue and business” NGO, Tavush region,
- Establishment of “Modern craft training group in Khrimyan Hayrik center ” presented by “Basis” ecological, charitable NGO, Aragatsotn region.
