Launch of the project “Equal opportunities to all

June 1st, 2015 marked the start-up of the project “Equal Opportunities to All”, which is implemented by the NGO “Regional Development and Research Center”, through financial support of the WCC  Armenia Round Table Foundation. The aim of the project is to establish and develop the social enterprise “Heavenly Manna” through expanding the product line and the sales volumes, stabilizing the workplaces and changing the attitude of the society towards people with physical disabilities.

The social enterprise was founded in December 2013, on the international day of persons with disabilities, in the framework of the project “Life” implemented by the international organization “Save the Children”, aimed at solving the issue of employment among people with physical disabilities.  It is a bakery producing flour pastry, where 11 people with disabilities have been trained and currently work.  In the framework of the current project financed by Armenia Round Table Foundation , it will be possible to develop the marketing strategy of the social enterprise, which will result in the expansion of sales volumes, which in its turn will provide the opportunity not only to increase the salary of the employees with physical disabilities, but also establish new vacancies and break down the deeply rooted stereotypes towards people with physical disabilities in our society.
